I swear if Arya/Gendry doesn’t happen GRRM will be getting a very angry letter from me.

So I wrote a really huge post about this but then it deleted because my computer is a piece of shit and now I’m really pissed. Anyway, I’ll try to remember all of it.

• Davos is still really boring. I can’t pinpoint what makes his narrative so tedious, but I dread all of his upcoming chapters. I understand that he’s needed for some insight in Stannis’s POV, but couldn’t GRRM use a more interesting character? Someone who is more lively and interesting. After I read his last chapter in ACLOK, I REJOICED for his demise but this bitch is still going. SMH. 
• And then his chapter is A Storm of Swords sounds like it came straight out of CAST AWAY.
• 
• Bran is almost as bad as Davos. Everyone’s going to die?
• 
• Now we go onto Sansa. Sansa is my favorite. She’s had the most growth out of all of the Starks and she’s the bravest, imo. When she finally admitted to Margaery that Joffrey was a monster
• 
• SO PROUD OF YOU!! Although I do not trust Margaery and I side-eyed Sansa a little when she put so much faith into her (SERIOUSLY WHEN HAS GRRM EVER BEEN GOOD TO THE STARKS?), I’m still proud that she was finally able to admit that Joffrey is not the prince she had once imagined. It’s a big step to finally face the truth, but I’M PROUD OF YOU, SANSA. I can’t wait until all of these bitches are bowing down to you!!
• I think this was in ACOK, but it really hit me hard when Sansa started menstruating and the way she reacted. I felt horrible for her because we all knew that Joff was going to hit that as soon as he found out.  GOD I FUCKING HATE HIM SO MUCH, MORE THAN I HATE GRRM. Sansa goes through the most physical and emotional abuse and that’s why I think she’s the strongest because she’s still trying to hold on. She’s eleven, you guys. She’s allowed to cry. EVEN AFTER THAT THO, she’s still holding on!!
• Arya doesn’t really have any character development to me. I actually find her to be a very basic girl. I think she follows that tom-boy persona, aka tough yet vunerable girl!! so most of her actions are predictable. She’s supposed to be Sansa’s foil so maybe that’s why I’m not attracted to her story line because I’m such a supporter of Sansa.  And then Arya’s also a part of that “princess disguised as a common boy” plot and that’s just so overdone for me that I can’t help but roll my eyes. However, I do sympathize when she talks about Jon since Jon was the only~ one who can possibly understand what it feels like not to fit in, he being a bastard and she not wanting to be a proper lady. That’s on more of an emotional level rather than a literary level so0o0o. I think Arya has a lot of potential but I just feel like her character was only there to have a foil for Sansa and to interest the people who don’t find Sansa’s *girlishness* likable. Complaints aside, I do admire Arya’s leadership. I kinda want Gendry/Arya to happen, tbh!! If Hot Pie dies…… no. I won’t let it happen.
• Brienne is another person that I surprisingly really enjoy. At first I thought she was added so that we have a woman in armor to contrast from all the other men, but she’s fleshed out enough for me to recognize that she’s more than just a ploy used to demolish potential sexism, even though I’m side-eyeing the Renly-love-sub plot. I absolutely ABHOR it when authors use love as a woman’s motive. It’s so basic and cheesy. Women have other interest then finding their ~prince charming. I know Taylor Swift might have you believing otherwise, but I’m under good authority that she’s wrong. really fucking WRONG. That’s one reason why I like Sansa, because she’s realizing that there aren’t ~prince charmings in the world. THERE IS REALITY AND YOU JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT.
• ANYWAY, back to Brienne. I like her because it seems that she’s frustrated with being a woman because she knows how limiting it is in that universe, to a point where she almost calls herself a ‘son’. I think that’s her ultimate conflict, like Cersei. It’s interesting to see Jaime interact with these two women who are strikingly similar. This is a little reason to why I kinda ship Brienne/Jaime. only a little, OKAY! I hope she doesn’t die; I really don’t want to see her go. She’s such a promising character!! LOVE YA TOO!
• Dany/Jorah. I can’t. When they kissed…there was a FLOOD of conflicted emotions.

•  I WANT TO SHIP IT! I REALLY DO! But I refuse to let myself support this ship until Dany is comfortable in it. She needs to decide if her feelings for him are romantic or not. I see why she’s feeling so conflicted. He’s crossing a barrier that should not be broken between them. There was a unspoken agreement of trust that he would never see her as a lover and only as a queen and to have all of that quickly taken away from her is overwhelming—and on top of that, he’s really the only one she has so it’s not like she can get away from him. I’m making it sound like she’s completely repulsed by him, but it’s not like that. It’s OBVIOUS that she cares a lot about him and he for her, but it’s also obvious that Dany not comfortable with some of his motives. IDK, MAN. All I’ve got to say is that if Jorah dies, I…NO. I will not. NOPE. I WILL NOT GO ON.
